Come learn more about Club Legacy and the 2020/2021 Club Season.  We are excited to have this informational meeting to discuss our coaches, strength & agility partner, teams, travel, cost and so much more.  See you at the meeting!

Steve Bymers

Steve Bymers

In his nearly 20 years as a club administrator, he has served in many different leadership and administrative roles.  During his career he was a co-founder of a new volleyball club, has coached many levels from collegiate, select club teams & high schools with much success. He has also successfully been in the administrative and management role of running a historically accomplished club for the past 20 years. 

Steve has a highly regarded reputation as an effective, family oriented, and player focused administrator; this makes him the perfect match for Club Legacy & our coaching staff.  Steve will work closely with Tahlyr and Jeff to ensure player development & program success fulfilling Club Legacy’s mission. Steve will be a primary leader to expand our training programs in his fulltime role, both on and off the court. 

Steve is married to his wife, Kim, and they have 3 grown children.  Volleyball has played a pivotal part of their family’s life.  Kim has been an active in the volleyball community and has many years of coaching for various select volleyball teams.  His daughter Jordyn has also played select volleyball and went on to be a student athlete for Midlands University and also enjoys coaching volleyball.

    • 4th appearance at the NAIA National Championships advancing to the Final Four Appearances in 2 of those years

  • Dana College Assistant Coach / 2001-2002
  • Gross High School Assistant Coach / 1999-2000
  • Coached Clubs & Clinics for 3 years for the Ankeny Volleyball Association

  • 19 Top 5 finishes at National Qualifiers, Open Division
  • JOV Nationals / Only Coach in Nebraska Club Volleyball to take 3 Teams
    • 2 Teams Competing in the Open Division
    • 1 Team Competing in the National Division
  • 14 Teams Qualified for USA Nationals
  • Recipient of the “Meritorious Service Award” from the USAV Great Plains Region
  • Active Board Member for 4 years for the Ankeny Volleyball Association
  • Awarded Nebraska Volleyball Club, Coach of the Year 2007
  • Won the Junior Thaw Tournament, 15’s age group / 2018
  • Gold Medals at Qualifiers Northern Lights Qualifier / 2017 & 2012

Through the Club Legacy experience we hope you will become a better player, a better teammate; a better person who loves the journey along the way.  Players will improve their overall volleyball skills, knowledge of the game & development of court PRESENCE, learn about different offensive and defensive systems, have the opportunity to grow in confidence & leadership skills.
