Registration for 15U - 18U Tryouts for Club Teams

Tryouts for 15U - 18U Teams are Sunday, November 12

15U & 16U - 8:00am to 11:00am

17U & 18U - 11:00am to 1:00pm

Acceptance on a team

Players/Parents will need to accept  the offer to be on a team prior to leaving the facility the at the second tryout date.  Contracts will be available for signature and a non-refundable check deposit of  $450 will be needed at that time to hold the players spot on the team.

GPVB - Great Plains Volleyball Registration Information

All participants must be a USAV registered player with the Great Plains.  (This is a region wide requirement for all clubs).  Go to and click the membership link.  GPVB fees are not immediately due at sign up and can be postponed until after tryouts are complete.

To determine the correct age division for your player.  Please look at the far left hand column and find the month of birth & then find the year of birth in the same row.  The age of your player will then be listed in the header of the column.  

Another quick way to figure out their age division is the athlete's age as of September 1 of 2018.  So if they will be 13 years old August 31 of 2018, they would be on a 13 & Under team for the 2017/2018 Season.

Uniform fittings: for 15U - 18U players will be the week of November 12th.  All players that make a team will be required to attend a uniform fitting.  We will send an email following tryouts with a link to register for a uniform fitting time.

Things to know before you show up!!

  1. Do your warm up pants still fit from last year?
  2. Does your warm up jersey still fit from last year?
  3. Have you filled out & PAID for your GPVB registration?

  4. Get ready to check out the new apparel that night too.  It's super cute & fun.  Already a thumbs up by some of the younger players!!

Team Meetings: Plan on hanging out with us the week of November 12th for a couple of hours one night.  We will be having REQUIRED Team Meetings for parents, players & coaches.  These meetings we will discuss the expectations of the season;  how information will be sent out, tourneys; local and travel tourneys. Recruitment, uniforms, apparel, practices, expectations, fees and so much more.

What To Expect at Tryouts 2017/2018

  • Pre-Register
    • Register early through our online system, the registration fees is $15 and includes a tryout t-shirt.
    • Walk-Ins are welcome, but will need to go through the online registration process upon arriving at the courts and pay the  registration fee.  
  • Check-In
    • Check In will begin a half hour prior to tryouts, we suggest you are there at that time or before.
    • All players will need to check in and receive their tryout t-shirt.  Each player will also receive two stickers with the same tryout number on each sticker which  will need to be placed on their t-shirt prior to going on the court.
      • Players do not have to wear the tryout t-shirt during tryouts, but instead we encourage players to wear something that makes them stand out.  Bright spandex, a headband, bright socks.
    • Begin warming up out on the court.
    • Parents will NOT be allowed to watch the tryouts, players (especially younger ones) can be more focused on Mom or Dad watching them vs. doing the drills and following instruction when parents are around.
  • Evaluation
    • All athletes will be evaluated during drills and the tryout process by Club Legacy coaches and placed on a team based on each players skills, ability to be coached, enthusiasm, need for that position on a team.
  • Team Formation /Placement
    • Coaches and Club Directors will meet after the first tryout & second tryouts to confirm & finalize teams.
    • ​​​​​​​Athletes will be notified directly following the second tryout after coaches and Club Directors meet to find out which team they will be on.

Tryouts will consist of two sessions for each age group.  Players are strongly urged to attend both sessions to help ensure placement on the best team for your player, the second session is required for placement on a team.   Contact Steph Peterson 402-598-1441 if you are unable to  attend both tryouts dates.
